Craig has an extensive background in Quality Management in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and blood, cell and tissue sectors. He commenced his career working in the microbiology laboratory at a pharmaceutical manufacturing company before moving into Quality Assurance. After working in various Quality roles in a number of biotechnology companies, Craig joined the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, where he held a number of roles in Quality and Medical Services, including leading the Quality and Regulatory Affairs department. In 2018 Craig moved to Dublin, Ireland as the Director of Quality and Compliance at the Irish Blood Transfusion Service.
In 2019, he moved to Edinburgh, Scotland as the Director of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion service, the position he currently holds. This opportunity has enabled him to continue with a passion for Quality Management and continuous improvement, along with leading an organisation that is well respected in the field of advanced therapeutic development and manufacturing.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in chemistry and applied microbiology, and an MBA with a Quality Management specialisation.
